Excellent Wired Article on Google Chrome

Steven Levy, author of the iPod tell-all The Perfect Thing (good book) has a great behind-the-scenes story on the birth of Google Chrome in this month's Wired

I continue to maintain that this is potentially a very big deal when Google brings out a basically free UMPC with Linux - pre-loaded with Chrome and Google Apps.....totally cutting Microsoft out of the equation.

So when is Levy going to hang out with us academic technology folks and get the real story where the cool stuff is really going on?
