Here's a blog post that posits that the iPhone is ready for business use. The author writes: "Apple's iPhone 2.0 OS brought Cisco VPN, Exchange Server e-mail, and native custom applications to Apple's devices, bringing utility to the mix to make the iPhone an enterprise shoo-in."
And here is a counter-post that claims the iPhone falls short. Examples: can't do voice dialing, can't open RTF documents, primitive security and calendar support, etc.
I think it's useful to keep an eye on this debate. As the mobile device becomes "business ready," it means for us that the devices are more fully functional and will be more ubiquitous.
