The Dartmouth student paper ran a review today of the Lenova IdeaPad S10
..a sub $400 notebook.
As readers of this blog know, I've been very interested in getting one of these things - but have been having difficulty figuring out how to get my fat fingers to type on the small keyboard (any solutions would be great).
In reading this student article, I've come to suspect that we ed. tech. folks should be playing with and thinking about these things in the normal course of testing applications and Web 2.0 tools.
Why? The small screen. I tend to see the world through my 21 inch monitor - or at least my 15 inch MacBook Pro screen. Things look great on big screens.
But I wonder how all the screencasts I do and apps that I recommend will look on a 10 inch screen (not to mention a 3.5 inch iPhone/Touch screen.
If students are accessing our CMS, content and tools through small screened devices then we need to be developing and testing on these devices as well.
Thanks for sharing your opinion on this netbook.I was planning to purchase this one & was looking for proper information on it.You have been a great source of it.Thanks!
