First it was WebCT, then it was the patent dispute with Desire2Learn, and now it is Angel.
How is Blackboard able to avoid investigation for monopolistic practices in the CMS market?
This is disappointing to say the least. Blackboard claimed it would not pursue patent lawsuits against open source products, but how long will that promise hold. To say this is troubling is an understatement, even if Angel were completely willing to be bought out.
Even before Blackboard bought WebCT, they bought Prometheus (aka the "Edsel" of learning management systems). I think that was the end of Prometheus.
